This includes cleaning both the interior and exterior of the dealership, including the showroom, service area, offices, and sometimes even the grounds. They may also perform basic maintenance tasks and ensure that vehicles are kept clean and presentable.Key Responsibilities:Cleaning:.This includes tasks like sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows, restrooms, and other areas within the dealership.Vehicle Maintenance:.This may involve washing, waxing, and detailing vehicles, including showroom vehicles.Groundskeeping:.Some Automotive Custodians may be responsible for maintaining the grounds, including sidewalks and parking areas, by removing debris and snow.Minor Maintenance:.Depending on the specific role, they might also perform tasks like changing light bulbs, restocking supplies, or other basic maintenance duties.Safety:.Ensuring a safe working environment for employees and customers by addressing hazards like spills or debris.Essential Skills and Qualifications: • Physical Stamina: The job often requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods. • Cleaning Skills: Knowledge of cleaning procedures, products, and equipment is essential. • Attention to Detail: The ability to maintain a clean and presentable environment requires attention to detail. • Ability to Work Independently: Many tasks can be completed without direct supervision. • Customer Service Skills: Interacting with customers while maintaining the cleanliness of the dealership is part of the job. • Valid Driver's License: May be required for tasks like moving vehicles or running errands.In essence, the Automotive Custodian is a combination of a cleaner, a maintenance worker, and a custodian, ensuring the smooth operation of the dealership by keeping it clean, safe, and presentable.Asbury Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
