They will be expected to be in the office 5 days/week, along with their peers. They will travel regularly to various assigned Koons Automotive locations.KEY RELATIONSHIPSReports to HR DirectorDirect reports: One HR SpecialistOther key relationships • General Managers and operational leadership at Koons Automotive dealerships • Regional Support Teams, including finance and ITShared Services Team, including Payroll, HRIS, Benefits Administration, and Learning and Development and Employment Law • Corporate Communications and Public Relations team • External HR Vendors and ConsultantsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Understands, keeps abreast of industry trends and complies with federal, state and local employment laws • Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions • Builds strong, trusting relationships with frontline team members and team members at all levels • Partners with the Regional Leadership Team to provide support to the dealerships • Develops organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues • Reviews and makes recommendations to the Sr. Director for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on team member matters • Communicates changes in the organization’s team member policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed • Provides consultation and training to management on human resource matters • Plans, designs and develops human resource-related initiatives that support the organization’s mission • Takes a leadership role in developing a culture that enables team members to perform in a professional and safe work environment • Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities • Partners with other HR departments to accomplish all HR department goals and initiatives • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunitiesIDEAL EXPERIENCE5+ years of broad human resources leadership experience in multi-site environmentsProven experience improving HR operations across multiple locations, ideally in complex, multi-site organizations undergoing rapid growth and integration.Strong track record of driving retention and reducing team member turnoverProven capability to develop and implement targeted strategies that effectively address retention challengesDeep understanding of HR best practices, policies, and complianceRecognized for expertise in developing, communicating, and enforcing human resource policies and procedures that drive compliance and enhance organizational effectiveness and team member experience, supported by a proactive approach to staying current with industry trends and regulatory changes.Experience navigating complex regulatory and team member relations environmentsProven expertise addressing complex regulatory and team member relations matters.
