As an Automotive Assistant Parts Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our business and in the lives of our team members and customers every day. We are looking for strong, energetic, people-focused team members who will help us redefine the car-buying experience.The Assistant Parts Manager is responsible for assisting the Parts Manager in the smooth, efficient and profitable operation of the Parts Department. • Assist in overseeing the parts department, retail and wholesale customers • Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner • Assist in training all parts personnel in the efficient operation of the parts department • Assist in the monitoring of job performance of each associate • Record and monitor lost sales as prescribed by the Parts Manager • Maintain a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork • Monitor the parts associates’ paperwork • Work closely with other team members to maintain consistency, promote customer retention and encourage business growth • Accomplish objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying and advertising • Manage the parts inventory and track expenses • Manage in the absence of the Parts Manager • Assist in forecasting goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them • Work with the service manager and shop foreman to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs • Assist in handling customer complaints • Continue to maintain Asbury's value, quality, and integrity • Strong customer service skills are required • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required • Previous experience with CDK is a plus • Must have a minimum of 3 years Automotive Parts or military equivalent experience • Must be able to manage in a fast paced work environment • Must be at least eighteen years of age • Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (Background & Drug Test)Company Benefits:Pay and Recognition: • Compensation: $15.00 per hour; this position is eligible for commission and bonuses. • Semi-Monthly pay • Paid holidays & paid time off • Deferred Holiday Pay Match • Paid training • Stock Awards(select management and front-line team member’s eligibleInsurance / Retirement: • Insurance: medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity plans • Up to 12 weeks paid pregnancy leave (disability leave) • Paid Parental Leave • Health savings • Flex spending accounts (tax free) • Short-term and Long-term disability plans • Life Insurance (Whole Life and Term) • 401k with company matchLearning, Tuition Assistance and Career Development: • Digital career path tool to assist with career development • Continuous training through Asbury's Internal Learning Management SystemProfessional growth and development opportunities Additional advantages: • Student loan relief resources • Employee assistance program • Employee discounts on parts and service repairs • Scholarship awards • Opportunities to join our community service initiatives, which includes paid volunteer hours • Aggressive Employee referral program with bonus opportunitiesINDMANAGERAsbury Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
