This position will lead various financial planning and analysis processes and tasks, including but not limited to short and long term forecasting and budgeting, month end management reporting, and trend analysis. This role will work closely with Market Directors, General Managers, Payroll, HR, Marketing, Controllers, various Operations Teams, Store Business Managers, Corporate IT, and Internal Reporting team members.Duties/ResponsibilitiesAssists and helps drive the planning and execution of the annual store-level operational budgeting & forecasting processDevelops, updates, and maintains month end reporting including ad hoc reports and analysis that includes budget comparison, forecast analysis, and store level expense analysisDevelops and performs detailed financial analysis including expense review, operational metrics, and monitoring business results with operational managers and storesSupports the operations team thru reporting analysis and trend reporting as necessaryReviews monthly/quarterly region, store and department financial resultsDefines drivers of budget variances and ensures understanding of key drivers with managerPresents financial analysis to inform managementBuilds stand-alone business cases and financial models to assess the impact of investment opportunitiesRecommends process improvements and serve on teams to design, redesign, and implement solutions and process changesProvides customer service and support for financial end-users to effectively and accurately operate (i.e. General Managers in stores and operations managers in our markets)Ad-Hoc financial analysis and other projects as needed to support businessServes as an internal knowledgeable for financial/operational analysisSupports cash management/liquidity forecasting processPrepares materials for executive, officer, investor and board of directors’ presentationsPerforms other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organizationEducation & ExperienceUndergraduate degree in economics, finance, business administration, math or engineeringMBA or MS in Finance required; CFA candidates highly desired2-5 yeas of progressive work experience with an emphasis on financial and/or investment analysis; investment banking or consulting experience would be beneficialAdvanced Microsoft Office Skills, particularly Excel & PowerPointFamiliarity with Hyperion suite of products; Hyperion Financial Management a plusUnderstanding of regular and special financial statements including (but not limited to) balance sheets, budgets, forecasts, profit and loss statements; Experience in budget preparation and variance reportingAdvanced financial modeling using key metrics and drivers; Solid understanding of valuation and DCF concepts (NPV, IRR, DPP, etc.)Superior analytical skills; draw conclusions from complex set of dataHandle several projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to work on own initiativeUnderstanding of accounting principlesProduce high quality work while under significant deadline pressureExcellent written and verbal communications skillsAbility to work extra hours occasionally during crunch timePay and Recognition: • Weekly pay • Paid holidays & paid time off • Deferred Holiday Pay Match • Paid training • Stock Awards (select management and front-line team member’s eligible)Insurance / Retirement: • Insurance: medical, vision, dental, accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity plans • Up to 12 weeks paid pregnancy leave (disability leave) • Paid Parental Leave • Health savings • Flex spending accounts (tax free) • Short-term and Long-term disability plans • Life Insurance (Whole Life and Term) • 401k with company matchLearning, Tuition Assistance and Career Development: • Digital career path tool to assist with career development • Continuous training through Asbury's Internal Learning Management SystemProfessional growth and development opportunities Additional advantages: • Student loan relief resources • Employee assistance program • Employee discounts on parts and service repairs • Scholarship awards • Opportunities to join our community service initiatives, which includes paid volunteer hours • Aggressive Employee referral program with bonus opportunitiesINDOTHERAsbury Automotive Group is an equal opportunity employer.
